This can be fixed but based on what I saw this weekend . . .


it's not close. There's a reason Emma is able to throw at or close to 70 mph despite being only about 5'6". Most girls who throw this hard are 5'10" or better . . . long levers, more velocity. Emma gets tremendous explosion off the rubber. Her lower half is key to everything she does. "Grounding" her will undoubtably reduce her velocity, at least temporarily. My conversations with some coaches suggest a pretty decent likelihood a rule change making flying legal next season. The coaches really have to weigh all this.
